OPEN TO ALL WHO HAVE TAKEN COURSE ONE: FOUNDATION
“In these recordings, we hear Maharishi speaking in a manner that was unique to his talks at that time. There is a candour, joyfulness, and openness about all matters spiritual that is truly revelatory.” – Dr Peter Warburton
Course Two is an Advanced Course on the Bhagavad-Gītā featuring newly available lectures by Maharishi from the 1970s, 1980s, and 2000s. Bhagavad-Gītā Course Two brings out a deeper understanding of the reality of Lord Kṛishṇa and His teachings, including from a scientific perspective.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
- The glory, reality, and utility of Bhagavad-Gītā “for today’s world”.
- Understanding the process of manifestation of creation: from the three guṇas, to the five elements, and how the three guṇas interact with the five elements, giving rise to the 15 basic impulses of life. From these 15 impulses arises the infinite diversity of creation.
- How the 15 impulses of relative life correspond to the 15 basic problems of life, and how the solution to rise above problems lies in being without the three guṇas.
- The profundity of Lord Kṛishṇa’s teachings in bringing out Vedanta, the knowledge that lies beyond the Veda, in a practical way.
- How Dharmakshetre kurushetre demonstrates that the total organising power of Natural Law, the Veda, is lively in the field of Dharma.
- The mechanics of cognition of the Veda: Veda is uncreated and is cognised by the simplest form of human awareness—Yo jāgāra tam ṛichaḥ kāmayante.
- Understanding of the birth of Lord Kṛishṇa as the full blossoming of Natural Law, wholeness, that is created within its own nature.
- The reality of Kṛishṇa, Brahm, as infinite silence and infinite dynamism both together: Tat tu samanvayat. Lord Kṛishṇa’s role in the Bhagavad-Gītā was in opening Arjuna’s awareness to that level of unity where there is no duality.
- How awakened human awareness is the home of all knowledge—that is Veda, Kṛishṇa, Dharma.
- Discussions with scientists about the effectiveness of Lord Kṛishṇa’s teachings in removing the blocks in Arjuna’s intellect and physiology.
- Further discussions with scientists on the parallels between modern science and Vedic Science, including how the description of black holes mirrors the reality of Lord Kṛishṇa and his statement in the Bhagavad-Gītā: Prakṛitiṁ svām avaṣṭabhya visṛijāmi punaḥ punaḥ.
- How refinement of the body, brought about by Transcendental Meditation, produces that intellect which can experience Unity.
